On September 14th, 2011, my buddy Seth and I were on the final leg of a 4 day trip through the deserts of Arizona, Utah and Nevada.
We had just left the Valley of Fire in Nevada and were heading north towards the main highway when this thunder storm ahead of us started firing off lightning bolts.
I had always wanted to capture images of lightning, so I pulled off to the side of the road and fired off about 300 shots on a half-second exposure at f22 and ISO 100. The images in this gallery are the only ones out of those 300 that had lightning in them.
It was a first for me, and a wonderful experiment that I want to try again at some point in the future. I hope you enjoy the images.
